Primitive Rustic Stoneware Pottery Jug Crock Hand Painted Set of 3 Oval Stacking Boxes. I love to collect and display old stoneware crocks, jugs and jars all over my home. I'm always inspired to make decor that relates to stoneware. This set I just thought of while waking up one morning! The bottom box is black with a stoneware jug with a star on it. The middle box is a Mississippi Mud color, which is like a dark taupe color. I hand write the saying on this box. Example shown is olde crocks. Top box is a khaki tan color with 1865 painted on. A lot of the old salt glaze pieces of stoneware were actually made around this time. They nest down inside the bottom one for shipment. Stacked up like shown in the second image are 12" tall and the bottom box is 5" wide oval. Set of 3. Sanded and antiqued for a time worn primitive look. Hand painted, designed and signed by Heidi.
